The bridge entrance on shore 2 is on its original elevation level, while the bridge entrance on shore 1 is about one meter lower than its original elevation level. The girder, the deck, and the safety barriers are (visually) not affected by the collapse. Figure 3 shows a bottom view of the bridge on shore 1.

The foundation consists of a three-column bent with short columns and isolated footings. Figure 4 shows a schematic cross-section of the bridge before the collapse, while figure 5 shows the bridge's nearby upstream region on shore 1.
