Figure 1 shows a traffic camera pole.

The structure consists of a half-portal frame with a knee brace and a stay cable. The length l ≅ 4 m. Figure 2 shows a side view of the corner region.

The knee brace consists of an L-profile, which is connected to the circular hollow profiles by bolted gusset plates and round pole clamps. The stay cable is made of a steel wire rod, which is tensioned by a turnbuckle and connected to the circular hollow profiles by U-bolts. A schematic lateral view of the above shown traffic camera pole and a variant without knee brace and stay cable is shown in figure 3.

The red arrow represents the vertical component force of the camera, assuming that the camera has a mass of 4 Kg.
